Week of Photos

This was my first time at this restaurant and will not be my last; this is one of the best sushi places I have ever eaten at.  If you are in the area I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Week of Photos Wednesday

Once again life gets in the way sometimes, okay who am I kidding... all of the time.  Here are some of my favorite pictures from this past week: they include my daily photo challenge as well as any fun I felt like capturing along the way.

Which were amazing even though they sound disgusting, we had already eaten dinner and this was a late evening snack.  I cannot wait to go back and enjoy dinner here with all the BBQ I can eat.

 Since we decided to spend the day hiking and enjoying margaritas... we also decided to take in the sunset which was absolutely breath taking.

I did a blog post awhile back about Cupcake Wine, well this past weekend i recently found out that they now make vodka.  The vodka is a good mixing vodka but Effen and Grey Goose are still my favorites to drink on the rocks with a lime and a splash of soda water.

Help Portrait

Have you heard of Help-Portrait?  I didn't either till a couple of days ago.  What this organization does is photographers use their time, equipment, and expertise to give back to those who are less fortunate.  If you get a chance to check out their website, this truly is a great way to give back to the community and those that surround us everyday.  This amazing organization has given 101,596 portraits in 54 different countries for free as of today's date.  December 10, 2011, photographers around the world will be grabbing their cameras, finding people in need, and taking their pictures.  If you are not a photographer you can make donations to help support this great organization which help to bring communities together one click at a time.  Check out their blog.

Love of Photography

Someone asked me this past weekend why I love to take pictures?  I found myself stumped for a response other then, “well, just because.”  Since I am a thinker, this question continued to pop into my mind from time to time as I thought of what I would say the next time that someone asked me this question.  It finally clicked… I photograph for the love of learning.  I am an Aries, according to my horoscope this means…  “Aries need to keep physically busy, they accomplish many things simply because of their restless energy, and they get bored quickly.”  This statement is ME, wrapped up into one sentence.  I am guilty of getting bored extremely fast and always find myself wanting and needing change.  Photography helps me to manage this, photography can change with every picture.  You choose how you take the next picture, the angle that you use, or the focus of your picture.  Photography is one thing in life that I have yet to get bored with, it’s my passion.

Friday Favorites: Summer Weddings

Since I am a huge wedding photographer blog fan, I thought I would share some of my favorite summer wedding inspirations from this past season.  I love all of the little details.

Starbucks Proposal
