Dear Photograph

I came across this website on a photography blog that I follow.  I really fell in love with this idea of incorporating old photos with a current photo.  Please take a moment to look through Dear Photograph, this truly is an unique idea.  I plan on doing a photo like this coming up and I will make sure to post my picture as well as submit my picture to their website.

There were too many great ones to choose from so I could only pick a couple to share.  Here are some of the favorites.  (All photos were taken from Dear Photograph website)

OC Fair

The fair is in TOWN!  The last weekend that the OC was in town we decided to head down to the OC Fair.  This was my first time attending at the OC Fair but I have been to the Ventura County Fair and LA Fair.  I wanted to go to the OC Fair because honestly... I heard they have the best food and it did not disappoint.  We spent a lot of money on food, rides, and games but it was well worth it and one of the best fair experiences yet.

First of all, did I mention we got in free?  We were waiting in line to buy tickets to the fair and some gentlemen walked up to us and asked us if we had tickets.  We responded with no and he handed up two already pre-paid tickets to the fair.  At that point we knew this was going to be a great day.

Let’s start with the rides, games, and attractions...  We went down the towering slide, coasted along the ski lift from one side of the park to the other, went on the ferris wheel, saw the Pig Races, hung out with the animals, played some good old fashion fair games (which I might add I was pretty good at), walked through the local photography exhibit, and one of the best attractions was the ice museum.

Now onto the good stuff... the food.  Man did we eat everything and anything, we talked about what we wanted to try on the drive down.  We had some BBQ, lemonade, margaritas, deep fried bacon, chocolate covered bacon, fried snickers, and a chocolate covered cheesecake.  It's a good thing I only eat this kind of stuff once a year, it was delicious and cannot wait to make this a yearly tradition.

Summer Scarves

If there is one element of style that I have really come to love and appreciate this summer is light and airy scarves.  I have started to collect a bunch of these over the last couple of months and I wear them all of the time. I love Alessandra Ambrosio style she also loves her scarves almost as much as do.  Here are some pictures.

Must Have Mascara

So mascara is on my list of things that if I could only have 3 things considered make-up what would they be?  Mascara, chapstick, and a dark brown eye brow pencil.  If you have ever walked into a beauty isle looking for mascara it can be rather intimidating to see all of these colorful tubs and not really know which one will work best for you. So here are some of my favorites and why.

DiorShow Mascara - this is my all time favorite, I wear this every day.

Benefit BADgal Lash Mascara - Another great mascara and it does great with no smudging under the eye during the normal day to  day activities.

Fresh Supernova Mascara - This mascara when it dries holds the curl of your lashes to look smooth and shinny.  When this mascara hardens and sets it is still incredibly soft to the touch and feels like you are not wearing mascara at all.  This remains one of my go to mascaras still to this day.

Maybelline the Colossal Volume Express (waterproof) - This one runs about $7 at your local drug stores.  I used this one when I went on my vacation to Lake Tahoe this year and loved it.

Sephora is also a great place to look online and also in the stores.  They really take the time to break down the different products for you so you can find exactly what you are looking for.  What's your favorite brand of mascara?

Downtown LA Art Walk

Last Thursday my girlfriend Jess and I went to the LA Art Walk, this art walk is held the second Thursday of each month, the calendar of the specific dates and who the artist are is locating by clicking the link above.  Each month they change up the exhibits that they have, it's free to attend, and a lot of fun to walk around and enjoy everyday art and flea-market like atmosphere.  Parking in the area usually run between $5-$20 depending on where you park.  There is also some fun food trucks, we ate at the Tornado Potato (please see picture below).  Here are some pictures of our evening walking with Art.
